:: AT YOUR SERVICE ::

Like any public library, Tape Aids lends thousands of books to its members – some 2000 books are received and dispatched daily.  Open libraries have traditionally been places that enrich the mind and spirit – the Tape Aids’ library is no exception.

In accordance with International Postal Union dispensation all literature for the blind travels post free.

Members select their choice of books and the cassettes are mailed to them, postage free, in specially designed containers.

We serve readers of all ages – our youngest member is aged 15 months and several members are over 100 years old.

In addition to our books we offer a comprehensive range of both commercial and in-house audio magazines.

Our audio catalogue “From the Bookshelf” is available to our members on a monthly basis.

The only equipment required to “read” a Tape Aids’ book is a cassette playback machine.

Internet facilities  Our Library members are able to request us to obtain information for them from the Internet.   This is accessed, downloaded and recorded for them as part of our free service.

Toll free  A consumer service division is available on our toll free number - 0800 335522.
